My appeal to all young, working women and mothers: Always remain financially independent and do not become financially dependent on your partner.
Although women have far more opportunities today than in the past, there are still plenty of obstacles on the path to full equality. The path is particularly difficult for young mothers. As a journalist, former diplomat, former press officer, and executive at the European Commission, I have experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to combine career, family, and responsibilities.
I share my experiences and advice with my daughter's generation in my new book, "It's Time to Claim Your Half of the World – A Self-Coach for Women" (Springer Nature, ISBN 978-3-658-49990-7). It contains 52 tried-and-tested life tips, one for each week of the year.
Matar Bassel from the Würzburg Main-Post interviewed me about why I warn against the part-time trap and why financial independence is so important for women.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the next online group coaching session based on my self-coaching book „Es ist Zeit, nimm Dir Deine Hälfte der Welt“ will start.
For women between the ages of 20 and 40 who want it all: clarity, self-determination, creative power, a career with family and children, a fulfilling life.
For seven months, we will meet once a month (on the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. CET) live online to focus on the crucial areas of a woman's life:
💪 Health – Energy instead of exhaustion (June 16, 2026)
🎓 Education – Development with a plan (July 14, 2026)
💼 Career – Career, even with children (August 14, 2026)
💰 Finances – economic independence (September 8, 2026)
👩👧 Family & friends – consciously shaping relationships (October 13, 2026)
✨ Contentment – inner clarity & resilience (November 10, 2026)
🌍 Society – finding your place and making an impact (December 8, 2026)
This is about real development—not just nice words: self-management, career planning, motherhood, economic independence, resilience, mindfulness, and social engagement. You will receive inspiration, clarity, exchange, and concrete steps.
Between modules, I will accompany you via email with implementation suggestions for reflection and direct messenger support for questions and feedback.
It's easier to grow together: I strongly encourage you to connect with each other.
The investment in yourself: 950 euros for all seven group modules and Messenger support.

Your personal finishing touches: After completing the group coaching, you can book an individual session with me at a special price of €100 – for your own individual next steps and a clear implementation strategy.
If not now, then when?
It's time. Take your half of the world.
In March 2026, my book "Es ist Zeit nimm Dir Deine Hälfte der Welt - Ein Selbstcoach für Frauen" was published by Springer Nature. This book contains, in the form of short, concise maxims, the essence of my experiences over 60 years as a full-time working mother, which I want to pass on to my daughter's generation and other young, well-educated women between the ages of 20 and 40. So that they can set the right course in their lives in time and claim their half of the world. This half must be reclaimed by every generation of women, throughout their entire lives. "Women who don't demand are taken at their word—they get nothing," as the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir once said.
This book is designed for self-coaching. In seven chapters—health, education, career, finances, family and friends, self-satisfaction, and community and society—it covers all the important areas of a woman's life. This broad approach distinguishes it from other self-help books on the market, which usually focus on only one area of life or a specific aspect thereof. These topics are supplemented by self-coaching questions for each chapter, as well as two appendices: one on the scientific background of coaching and self-coaching, and the other on German women's policy in a European context.
